Our MBIB people got their hands dirty last week at a Brush with Kindness Day with Habitat for Humanity. Members of our SA, WA and Tassie offices joined forces with some members from the MBASA office to assist with brightening up a women’s service centre in Adelaide.
On a very hot day, our team were involved with mural painting, planting garden beds, repairing and painting a pergola and installing much needed shade cloth. It ended up being some pretty tough work by the end of the day thanks to the heat, but the team pulled together and did an amazing job.
Launching our support of Habitat for Humanity late 2019, MBIB continued to provide support to Habitat through Covid, however volunteer opportunities like this one became more restrictive. We were pleased to re-launch our partnership and in particular our staff volunteer days with Habitat at our recent staff conference. We have volunteer days in NSW and Victoria coming up before Christmas and look forward to continuing to assist Habitat for Humanity in their vision for everyone to have a decent place to live.
