The growing risk of cyber-crime is widely reported in the media with cybercriminals using increasingly sophisticated methods to steal money and information from businesses and individuals. Business owners are becoming more aware of this risk but believe it will never happen to them.
The Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) issued a Medium level alert on 6 July 2021 to all Australian construction companies who are now being actively targeted by cybercriminals using business email compromise (BEC) scams.
